Introducing the TRANSGENDER Elefant
“TRANSGENDER”: the word, the identity, the community and issues pertaining to them are all unmentionable elefants in our society. In order to destroy these elefants, we wish to run a series of campaigns titled The TRANSGENDER Elefant. Renowned transgender rights activist and actress, Dr. Kalki Subramaniam is the campaign ambassador. Through this festival, we aim to create visibility around transgender lives and stories, celebrate creative expressions within the transgender community and eradicate the silence and stigmas around various elefants in the room transgender people are forced to live with.
